Legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has never been shy about his love life. The rock icon has been linked to numerous high-profile women throughout his decades-long career, including Chrissie Shrimpton, Marianne Faithfull, Marsha Hunt, Bianca Jagger, Jerry Hall, and L’Wren Scott.
For the past decade, Jagger has been in a committed relationship with Melanie Hamrick, a talented choreographer, producer, and author. In a recent interview with The Times, Hamrick addressed the age difference with a refreshingly straightforward attitude, stating simply, “I don’t think about it.” She further emphasized that concerning herself with the opinions of others is unproductive, stating, “Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it.”
Hamrick prefers to focus on her own happiness and the happiness of those close to her. “I put the blinders on,” she explained. “Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”
A Shared Life: Career Support and Family
Beyond navigating public curiosity about their age gap, Jagger and Hamrick’s relationship appears to be built on mutual respect and support. Hamrick, a successful artist in her own right, has even received feedback from Jagger on her steamy romance novels, First Position and The Unraveling.

She shared a humorous anecdote about Jagger’s editorial advice, revealing, “Just go to the thesaurus. That’s what Mick said – he’s like, ‘Throbbing was used a lot in book two’.”
While Jagger’s romantic history is well-documented, his relationship with Hamrick stands out for its longevity and the couple’s unwavering commitment to each other, proving that age is just a number when it comes to finding love and happiness.
