Country music star Russell Dickerson has a wish list of collaborators, and it includes some of the biggest names in the industry.

Fresh off a UK tour and currently supporting Thomas Rhett in Canada, Dickerson recently stopped by the Smooth Country studio to chat with Eamonn Kelly. The “Bones” singer shared his thoughts on his latest EP, Bones, and revealed which country stars he’d love to work with in the future.

Reflecting on Bones and Past Collaborations

Dickerson described his latest release, Bones The EP, as a more reflective and nostalgic project compared to his previous summer EP, Three Months Two Streets Down. “It’s more reflective, more nostalgic… Like, you sit around a fire and have some of those incredible nights and conversations that you’ll never forget. That’s the overall gist,” he explained.

Having already collaborated with country music heavyweights Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett, Dickerson has a good idea of who he wants to work with next.

A Country Duet Dream Team

When asked about his dream duet partners, Dickerson didn’t hesitate to name some of country music’s biggest stars. “There’s so many great artists in country music,” he began, “I got to tour with Tim McGraw back in 2022. I’d love to have a song with him.” McGraw, known for his legendary status and string of hits, would certainly make for an epic collaboration.

Dickerson then added Carly Pearce to his wish list. “Carly Pearce is another fave. We go way back. We toured together in 2019, it was called The Way Back Tour.” Pearce, with her powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics, would complement Dickerson’s style perfectly.

Finally, Dickerson revealed his desire to team up with the one and only Lainey Wilson. “Lainey Wilson, obviously,” he exclaimed. “Funny fact, she was on a song that I wrote with this band called King Calaway,” the singer teased, “maybe we put that one out together.” A collaboration with Wilson, known for her sassy lyrics and undeniable stage presence, would undoubtedly be a hit.

What’s Next for Russell Dickerson?

With a string of successful collaborations already under his belt and a list of dream duet partners, it’s clear that Russell Dickerson has big plans for the future. Fans can catch him on tour with Thomas Rhett in Canada through late October, followed by a US tour kicking off in November and running through April 2025.

As Dickerson continues to climb the country music ladder, one thing is for sure: we can expect more incredible music and, hopefully, some dream collaborations along the way.
