But the true impact extends beyond statistics. WEN focuses on empowering young women by nurturing their “Power, Purpose, and Platform.” It’s about giving them the tools, confidence, and opportunities to become impactful leaders.

Power, Purpose, Platform: The Pillars of WEN’s Approach

WEN’s approach is multifaceted, designed to empower young women holistically. Let’s delve into the three pillars:

Power: Youth Development Programs

WEN partners with schools and community organizations to provide leadership programs for middle and high school girls. These programs address critical areas like mental health, personal growth, career development, global awareness, and post-secondary success. They equip young women with the skills and confidence to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.

A Story of Transformation: Fatimata’s Journey

One of the most powerful ways to understand WEN’s impact is through the stories of the young women they’ve empowered. Fatimata’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of WEN’s programs.

As a first-generation Gambian-Sengalese American, Fatimata faced a lack of support and resources to pursue her dreams. Inspired by her mother, who had limited educational opportunities, she felt a strong urge to advocate for gender equality and create positive change.

Through WEN’s GLOW Global Cohort, Fatimata found the mentorship, guidance, and platform she needed to amplify her voice. The program provided her with the tools and confidence to pursue her passions and make a difference.

Partnering for Change: A Collaborative Effort

WEN’s impact is amplified through the unwavering support of its partners. Corporate and philanthropic partners play a crucial role in advancing their mission of empowering the next generation of female leaders.
